When doing exercises on English vocabulary is not always clear which words from a text to which category.
WordClassifier is a program that helps English teacher to select words based on their appearance in a scientifically established frequency list of English words.
Sheet Material
The program is freeware and was developed by VVKSO (Jacques Denies Karel van Rompaey, Deketelaere Gilbert, Marc Hoefkens) and Michael Goethals (KULeuven).
The program is very simple: you copy any English text in the box and start the initial classification.
The words from the text according to difficulty level 5 locks (ranges) placed. A lock is named "out of category".
The fewer words in ranges 3-4 and 5, the more the words to the vocabulary of English are, and the easier the text.
If you want to do exercises with some authoring program (Hot Potatoes, Zarb, Clic, Crossword Compiler, ...) then the teacher can choose the rank the difficulty of determining the packet words.
