Games as a learning tool, not as an end in themselves

According to Isabelle, the added value of video games in the classroom lies in the strong increase in the intrinsic motivation of the students. According to her, games are a learning tool and never an end in themselves. It can never be the intention to reform everything into lessons with a video game in it, but the occasional lesson that uses a video game is worth gold. With minimal effort, the teacher can greatly increase the motivation of the students.
