Boy nobody: Expression lesson


Lesson about expression based on a fragment from the book topper Boy Nobody by Allen Zadoff (2017-2018).

The bundle contains the following elements:

  • Working with current book toppers;
  • Reflection on fragment;
  • Expressively read aloud about fragment;
  • Tableau vivant around fragment;
  • Role play around fragment.

The students learn:

  • speaking for a group, improvising around a given topic;
  • listen carefully to given instructions and interpret them correctly;
  • reading a fragment in silence and reflecting on it in small groups;
  • read a text expressively with classmates according to given tips;
  • to give each other in groups feedback about a read fragment;
  • to design a tableau vivant with classmates around a given situation;
  • design a role play with a given context;
  • play a role-play game with classmates, taking into account the right tips;
  • critically look at a role-play of fellow pupils, give them their substantiated opinion and try to find out the context in them.

The lesson is structured as a corner work. The lesson is structured in such a way that there are possibly 6 corners in which also the book The special children of Mrs. Peregrine from Ransom Riggs (2017-2018) are processed.
