Refugee work proudly There are no horses in Brussels, a literary non-fiction book.

" There are rumors about young men when I get that plumber and yet they are returned. Being a plumber is not a solution. And there are no horses in Brussels, so I'm galloping through the streets crouching over my cheerful pizza bar. But the worst dreams are due to my brain. Do I have to set up a trade in flying carpets? Finely dressed soft sweaters in many colors? Buy antiques from old bazaars? Being a tv cook with unique spicy Afghan dishes? '

Together with six renowned authors, they recorded the life story of six refugees in an engaging short story. They are called Svetlana, Teliwel, Nozizwe, Zaki, Abdulkarim and Mohamed. They come from the South; From Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Somalia, but also from Russia. They fled their homeland for war, persecution and violence, and want a new life in Belgium. They call refugees, but they are just people. Writers Rodaan Al Galidi, Rachida Lamrabet, Bart Demyttenaere, Pat Van Beirs, Do Van Ranst and Michael De Cock give them a voice and a face.
