Heritage and Education
Heritage is everywhere, and heritage arouses curiosity.
You can go in many directions with it.
The big question then is: how do you get started in concrete terms? How do you do that, setting up a stimulating heritage activity for children and young people?
After this training, you can enrich your own classroom practice or set up innovative and creative heritage activities for children and young people within your cultural heritage organization.
This training for adults is part of Odisee Continue, the offer for anyone who wants to keep up to date, develop personally or retrain.
During this further training we immerse you in the world of heritage education. Do you dream of developing your own contemporary cultural heritage project, making new contacts or setting up an exciting (why not?) collaboration? Then this is your chance.
This further training stimulates and supports you in the development of your own heritage project: How are we going to do that?
- The basics:
In the first phase you are introduced to heritage, education and heritage education. We look at concrete heritage projects from these frameworks. - From practice:
In a second phase you will be provided with a concrete tool to develop a heritage project. You will learn to screen a project using good practical examples. You also think about the subject of your own heritage project. You can complete this project alone or in a group. - Your project:
In the next phase you start developing your own heritage project, and you will receive the necessary input and feedback from the teachers and each other. We are visiting the M-Museum in Leuven. We also offer you various inspiration and in-depth sessions that tie in with a current theme in an increasingly diverse society. - Showtime
Finally, you present your project in a group and receive feedback from each other and from a number of heritage and education experts.

The further training is a joint initiative of Odisee University of
