Word samples: Creative workshop on language

Crazy word monsters eat the letters and words from our mouths! An inspiring visual activity around language and poetry

In this challenging workshop, the children are stimulated and they use all their imagination to come up with fun word samples.

They convert these into a collage drawing, paying attention to details, composition and leaf filling. At the level of the student, they learn about colors, shapes, language / poetry and how shadow / light works. Very concrete tips are given to each student to take his / her artwork to a higher level.

At the end we have a magical show moment where their word samples are projected onto the wall in large format. A great moment to reflect and have fun guaranteed!

Also ideal for OKAN classes!

"This inspiring workshop allows every child to experience the satisfaction of being able to do something, to have learned and to be proud of the result!"

Before and / or follow-up:

If some are lagging behind, need extra information, are foreign languages, ... this can be discussed in advance. The classes are differentiated. Every child can discover / learn certain things at his own pace.

An exploratory conversation takes place in advance with the teacher via email or telephone.
It is also possible to look for a feasible project within a specific theme.
Tips are given on which themes the assignment can relate to.
Afterwards, attention is paid to feedback from both the children and the teacher.

In addition, the teachers can also order additional training that gives the teachers inspiration and tools to get started creatively. Would you like more information about this training for teachers? click here for more information or send an email.

Our Philosophy:

  • The idea of the workshops is to inspire children and teachers with refreshing, playful and challenging image workshops. They are voyages of discovery where often experiment and fun are paramount.
  • The workshops do not need to state ages. Young or old, everyone can enjoy the workshops. There is no age on creating and inspiring . (A different age can therefore be discussed at each workshop.)
  • Making mistakes is okay . The pressure is often high for children. We learn by trial and error. Art has no right or wrong. On the contrary, we are often inspired by something that is not going the way we had it in mind. Creating is a process and that process is much more important than a good result.
  • Coloring outside the lines . There is nothing more fun than experimenting with the material or a technique. The research, what you can and cannot do with it, makes it interesting. Not someone to tell us what to do with it. Give room for this. This way you teach children to think more broadly. Think out of the box . Everything is possible.
