Alone in the World: Eduscape

In this eduscape you will learn more about a classic from world literature: Sans Famille or Alone in the World .

This childhood adventure novel was written in 1878 by Hector Malot and is about the foundling Remi and the search for his origin. The book is world famous and has also been reworked, translated, filmed and even stripped several times. This comic version focuses on one part of the story.

The comic album Alone in the World: Chavanon by artist Bart Proost depicts the story of Remi and is therefore naturally based on the novel by Hector Malot. A comic adaptation of an existing story is sometimes also called a graphic novel. Together you look at how this comic book came about.
