In this webinar you will receive information about skin cancer in Belgium (figures and graphs), the detection and prevention of skin cancer, the different forms of skin cancer, cancer research and their treatment.
The bad news is that skin cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, including in Belgium. About 40% of all cancers discovered today are some type of skin cancer. 1 in 5 people will be confronted with skin cancer before the age of 75. It is also the only cancer that has increased significantly over the past two decades. Moreover, a further increase is expected over the next ten years.
During this webinar, three experts were ready to answer the viewers' questions:
- Professor Dr. Bart Neyns, head of Medical Oncology at the UZ Brussels and professor at the VUB;
- Professor Arjen Nikkels, head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at CHU Liège;
