STEM activities (science - technology - engineering - mathematics) deserve an important place in kindergarten, especially if you want to focus on language stimulation. According to international research, STEM activities offer rich language opportunities: preschoolers get more challenging questions, more speaking opportunities, and are immersed in a rich school language.

Researchers from Odisee University of Applied Sciences investigated how you can use this language treasure with multilingual toddlers or toddlers from a language-poor environment. Our approach was named STEM-on-language didactics, because STEM goals and language goals reinforce each other.
