Youth for love: Website and educational game gender-based violence

Education plays a key role in countering negative social norms and gender-based violence. Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to perpetuation and/or violent behavior.

A scenario game has been developed under the European project Youth for Love in which young people choose their own profile and become part of a virtual world.

By playing the game, they will have the opportunity to experience the themes of violence and bullying from different perspectives.

When they face different crossroads, they become aware of the importance of making the right choice at the right time. In this game they learn to commit themselves to preventing bullying and respecting everyone's rights.

The Youth for Love e-learning trajectory was developed for professionals (teachers, counselors, psychologists, ...) to support them in recognizing and dealing with gender-based violence. The trajectory consists of three parts: understanding gender-based violence, dismantling its causes, and providing solutions. An evaluation is linked to the end of each part. After completing the course, participants receive a certificate.
