On this website you will find the Dutch translation of The Beauty and Joy of Computing , an introductory computer science course for students that wants children to experience the joy of programming.
Programming can be fantastic. You are not only creative but also inventive. In addition, programming provides an amount of control that you don't see in most other activities. You yourself are the one who determines whether your program works.
In this course, you write programs using the Snap! programming language. You learn to program by doing. You will quickly see progress and you will learn the most powerful concepts in computer science. You also learn to use your creative thinking skills. You also think about the social consequences of computer science.
