Suicide Prevention: Formations

Our training courses are aimed at all key figures who often come into contact with pupils and students who are (possibly) thinking about suicide.

We address the following questions:

  • How can we understand suicide?
  • How can we explain suicide?
  • What signals can we pick up on?
  • How can we start the conversation about suicide?
  • Then what should we do?
  • How can we refer?

We work tailor-made and look for a suitable training offer in mutual consultation.

We continuously educate ourselves and constantly evaluate our offer so that we can provide a high-quality offer.

A VLESP study into the evaluation of our training shows the following: 'The training has a positive effect on the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the participants. After following a training, people are better able to distinguish the myths from the truth and are better aware of which factors entail a risk or have a protective effect with regard to suicidality. In addition, participants are more convinced that they can help someone who wants to commit suicide. In addition, participants feel less powerless and more competent and comfortable in contacting suicidal persons, both in the short and longer term.'
