Brukel: Serious game WWII survivor
Brukel is a Belgian PC first-person game.
It is based on the authentic memories of a 92-year-old grandmother, told to players in her own voice (spoken in a Flemish dialect with English subtitles) and takes the player on an intense and emotional journey. The player takes photos of what remains of her abandoned childhood home to reveal the dark, traumatic events she endured as a teenage girl.
The concept of the game is gaminiscing. This style aims to playfully relive the past through the use of oral history.
