Archeologie spreekt tot de verbeelding van klein en groot. Opgravingen maken ons nieuwsgierig want ze vertellen iets over het verleden: hoe leefden onze voorouders, wat aten ze, hoe zagen hun woningen eruit ...? Tijdens de Archeologiedagen kan je deelnemen aan leerrijke, avontuurlijke en speelse activiteiten om meer te weten te komen over archeologie in al haar facetten.

Door de organisatie van de Archeologiedagen krijgt de Vlaamse archeologie een boost! Onze bodem zit immers vol met verhalen die verteld willen worden. Als we het grote publiek tonen hoe archeologie helpt om deze verhalen soms letterlijk aan de oppervlakte te brengen, vergroten we het draagvlak van deze boeiende wetenschap.
