Geestelijke gezondheid op school: informatie en lesmateriaal
Eén van de sleutelcompetenties is ‘werken aan de geestelijke gezondheid van de leerlingen’. En dat is niet gek, want 40% van de Vlaamse jongeren voelt zich niet goed in z’n vel (Vlaamse Jeugdraad, 2016). En hoewel dipjes en moeilijkere momenten nu eenmaal deel uit maken van het leven, moeten we waakzaam zijn dat deze dipjes niet uitmonden in grotere psychische problemen, zoals angststoornissen, depressie of eetstoornissen.
Drie zaken centraal bij aan bod brengen geestelijke gezondheid op school:
- Het versterken van skills om je goed in je vel te voelen en om met moeilijke momenten om te gaan;
- Het bespreekbaar maken van psychische problemen;
- Het inbedden van losse acties in samenhangend beleid rond ‘mentaal welbevinden op school’.
Samen Veerkrachtig
Van 1 tot 10 oktober zet Vlaanderen het belang van een goede geestelijke gezondheid in de kijker. Onder het motto ‘Samen Veerkrachtig’ word je uitgenodigd om een kleine of grote actie voor leerlingen/ leraren/ de gehele school/ te organiseren en zo veerkracht in de kijker te zetten.
Veerkracht?!
Veerkracht is dat wat je nodig hebt om je goed in je vel te (blijven) voelen, ondanks een tegenslag of dip. Zo kan je daar misschien zelfs sterker uitkomen. Wist je dat je veerkracht zelf kan trainen? Praten met anderen, voldoende bewegen of nieuwe dingen uitproberen, zijn alvast een paar tips. ‘Veerkrachtig zijn’ gaat niet enkel over je leerlingen, het gaat ook over jou: de leraar! Ook jij verdient het om goed in je vel te zitten. Op Geluksdriehoek.be vind je meer info en tips voor volwassenen (+16).
